Happy New Year from Hokkaido!

Happy new year! Hope everyone is having some time to rest and relax with loved ones. I've been enjoying my stay in Hokkaido. Yes, it's unbelievably cold and I haven't done any winter sports nor outdoor exercises that I thought of doing before I arrived. My goal is to stay warm and stay healthy until my departure. It's Oshogatsu (New Year Holidays) and it's tradition to give some money to kids of my relatives. I made envelopes from memo pad and drew little ribbons on them. Small kids are awesome since they love coins more than paper money : ) I love the happy Oshogatsu spirit in the air. Hope you have wonderful time and great start of 2012 as well!
