先週、高校時代のお友達が、お母様と一緒にべガスに遊びに来ました。

その帰りにロサンゼルスにも滞在してくれて、一日は一緒に過ごす時間もできました＾＾

Getty Villa, Santa Monica, Hollywood, Melroseなど、一緒に過ごした様子をたくさんカメラにおさめたので、プレゼントしたいな〜♪

と思って見つけたのがこちらのサービス。Instagramで撮影した写真を1.7" x 1.5"(37mm x 44mm)の本にしてくれます。ちっちゃくてかわい〜ぃ＾＾

Instagramのログイン情報を、Prinstagramのサイトから入力してオーダーするという流れになります。

３冊で＄１０（プラス送料）で、写真を７２枚構成する事が可能です。

プリントのクオリティーは・・・家庭用プリンターのレベルですが、かわいいし安いからいいや〜って感じです。

実は今回はテストでオーダーして、クオリティーが良かったらもっと作ろうと思っていました。まあまあのクオリティーだった時のためにと思い、同時に大きい写真集もオーダーしている最中です。そちらも届いたらご紹介します♪

ちなみに本のカバーはマグネット仕様になっているので、早速冷蔵庫の扉につけてみました〜。プレゼントにも自分用にも楽しめる素敵なプロダクトですね〜☆

Okame Mask Print / おかめちゃんの版画

先日たんぽぽの綿毛の版画のお話をしましたが、またまたオカメのお面の石版画のお求めを頂きました。カナダのアーティストの方がEtsyで発見してくれたのです。

オカメを見ると幸せな気分になるという暖かいメッセージまで頂けました。

インターネットの御陰で、今ではこうして世界各地の人々と出会いがある事に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

A couple of days ago, I talked about my dandelion print sold at Etsy. I got another order from an artist in Canada who placed an order for my other print called Okame Mask. She said that the Okame makes her feel happy when she looks at her ^^ Her kind and warm message made me feel very happy. Thanks to the internet, I feel that we are able to connect to people who are living outside of your reach in everyday life. I feel grateful.

しばらく前に買った本のプロジェクトに挑戦する事にしました。

I decided to work on one of the projects in the book I bought a while ago.

PRINTING BY HAND

布専用のインク。使用経験がないので、これからテストしてみて洗濯にも耐えられるものか

調べてみたいと思います。

Here is an ink specialized for fabric. I have never used it before so I have to see if

the ink can stay on after washing the fabric.

このデザインはオリジナルではなく、Print By Handの教本から拝借。

This design is not my original but it is borrowed from the book, Print By Hand.

余分なインクはあらかじめペーパータオルで落とします。

Excess ink should be removed on the paper towel.

クッキングペーパーで型抜きをしてインクをつけました。隙間が出来ていたので

慎重にインクをつけます。

I used cooking paper as a template and applied ink using a brush. There are some space between the template and the tote bag so I carefully applied some ink.

出来上がり〜。

Give Japan Love Event in Hollywood / ハリウッドで地震救援イベント

３月２７日の日曜日、お昼の１２時から午後５時まで、HollywoodにあるFresh Pressedというお店で

GIVE JAPAN LOVEというイベントがあります。手作りのお菓子の販売もあるそうです。

This Sunday, March 27th, there will be an event "GIVE JAPAN LOVE" at Fresh Pressed in Hollywood from noon till 5pm. Homemade sweets will be also sold at the event.
