お友達のアンジェラが、ローカルのクラフトフェアで発見したかわいいアドレス帳をプレゼントしてくれました♪ 嬉しぃ〜！！最近は、めっぽうこういう手作りグッズに弱いです。
実はこのアドレス帳、雑誌についてくるダイレクトメールのアドレス記載事項の部分を切り取って作成されているんです。このアイディア、すごくないですか？感動してしまいました。

Special Easter Vanilla Latte / イースターのスペシャルバニララテ
イースターだったので、ウサギの絵を描いてくれました。こういうスペシャルな絵が描かれてくると、顔がほころぶ。このカフェすっかり気に入ってしまいました。

こちらのパターンを買いましたが、かわいすぎて使えな〜い・・・！
Midori is a stationary brand that is producing lots of cute products and they have been attacking my sweet spots for cute stationary.All the products on their website makes me wanna have!!
Recent found Origami series makes me feel like fainting.
They have a variety of cute and modern patterns and show you really cool ways to fold the origami for different
occasions like setting up tables for dinner parties and wrapping gifts. At this point, my heart has been completely melt by the overloaded cuteness.
ミドリの文房具は、私のスィートスポットをばっきゅんx２打ち抜いてくれます。
ウエブサイトを見ていると、最終的に、全部欲しい！！！という感情で埋め尽くされます。
最近発見した折り紙シリーズ（オリガミオリガミ)は、ツボすぎて失神しそうです。
かわいいおしゃれなパターンの折り紙と、それを使ったいろいろなシーンへの
折り方の説明もあって、もうここまで来ると完全に心は溶けています。

Oh Joy RX Workshop in West LA / Oh Joyのプロダクトラインワークショップに参加するの巻
昨日は、毎日欠かさず読んでいるBlogの筆者JoyさんのWorkshopに参加するために、
メルローズのBorder Styloまで行きました。
Yesterday I went to Border Stylo in Melrose to attend a product line workshop hosted by Joy who is a graphic designer / writer of Oh Joy blog which I check on every day basis.
７時からのスタートに遅れたくなかったので、張り切って早く出発したのですが、
６時には到着してしまい、１時間待つ事に。
I didn't want to be late for the workshop so I left work early but I ended up getting there one hour earlier than I thought.
１５人のアーティスト、ジュエリーデザイナー、セラミックアーティスト、ファッションデザイナー、グラフィックデザイナー、ビジネスをスタートしたい女性が集まって、ワークショップがスタート。
There were 15 ladies and there were a fine artist, an event planner, jewelry designers, a fashion designer, a stylist, an interior designer, graphic designers and also entrepreneurs.
Joyさんの経歴から始まり、実際に自分の製品を作って、売る過程を丁寧にお話してくれました。たくさんの質問があったので、２時間の予定だったワークショップは３時間に延長に。彼女の個人的な経験を聞けるとても貴重な経験だった。
It started with Joy's story of her background and she walked us through how to create own products and bring them to the market. Since so many questions were asked and we were able to hear lots of her personal experience.
Joyさんも言っていましたが、同じ業界で同じように自分の夢を実現しようとしている人達のお互いへの応援は大きな支えになると思う。
Joy mentioned the importance of having a support system organized by people who are in the same creative field to make your dreams come true.
JoyさんのPositiveなエネルギーと輝くオーラと、参加していた皆さんに刺激を受けた夜になった。頑張るぞ〜。
I was very inspired by the Joy's positive outlook and her aura as well as the ladies who participated in the workshop.
写真は撮らなかったのですが、Joyさんがお土産に持ってきてくれたカップケーキの写真は撮りました。スポンジがもちっとしていて、クリームはしょっぱ甘い新しい感じで美味。サイズも普通のカップケーキよりも小さいので、食べやすく丁度良かった。
ハリウッドとロングビーチにお店があるみたいなので、近々行ってみたいなぁ。
I didn't take any photos at the event but I took some photos of a souvenir from Joy. It's a cupcake from a place called "frosted cupcakery." There were actually two cupcakes in the box but I ate other one (red velvet) last night. The texture of the sponge is bouncy and the cream is salty and sweet. It's smaller than the ones that you usually see at some store so I think it's a good size if you don't want to get full from eating sweets. They have stores in Hollywood area and long beach so I would like to try again soon.

Printing By Hand / プリントプロジェクト
’しばらく前に買った本のプロジェクトに挑戦する事にしました。
I decided to work on one of the projects in the book I bought a while ago.

'布専用のインク。使用経験がないので、これからテストしてみて洗濯にも耐えられるものか
調べてみたいと思います。
Here is an ink specialized for fabric. I have never used it before so I have to see if
the ink can stay on after washing the fabric.
このデザインはオリジナルではなく、Print By Handの教本から拝借。
This design is not my original but it is borrowed from the book, Print By Hand.
余分なインクはあらかじめペーパータオルで落とします。
Excess ink should be removed on the paper towel.
クッキングペーパーで型抜きをしてインクをつけました。隙間が出来ていたので
慎重にインクをつけます。
I used cooking paper as a template and applied ink using a brush. There are some space between the template and the tote bag so I carefully applied some ink.
出来上がり〜。
