Happy New Year Again

It's been almost a week since I came back from my vacation but it didn't feel like it since I was visiting the consumer electronic show for 2 days in Las Vegas. I feel like celebrating Oshogatsu (The New Year) again after I saw photos from my vacation. Here is one photo I took at LOISIR Hotel. They set up a new year decoration in the lobby. The red rectangular object in the middle is called "TAKO" (it's a kite) and it's leaning against sake barrels from local sake distillery in Asahikawa. The photo looks suitable for Osyogatsu and it has a sense of happiness and good luck so I wanted to share with you here : ) 

先週の土曜日にロスに戻りました。北海道との気温さは３０度くらいあります。うわお。冬に帰省して思ったのは、冬の北海道の生活は厳しいという事。雪と共存している北国の人々に尊敬の念を感じました。それと同時に、毎日のように雪や寒さに伴う事故のニュースを聞くと、事故防止対策の助けになれることはないものかしらと考えます。北国の皆さんはたくましい。本年もどうぞ宜しくお願い致します。
